With funding from New York Parks and Trails and with contributions from student and faculty volunteers from the Building Trades Department of Alfred State College, IMPACT built a new bridge on Trail 2 in the summer and fall of 2023.

A total of 45 students in 3 classes contributed to the construction and placement of the new bridge. The photographs below show stages of bridge construction and installation, first in the ASC shop, and later on site.

Throughout the process, ASC Instructor Don Tinder taught students the construction techniques and proper use of tools that students employed in building the bridge and installing it on Trail 2.
